Eligibility

Selection Criteria

Bill and Sue Modrak Scholarship

Graduating seniors who are current Modrak McDonald’s employees, or who have parents or grandparents who are employees at a Modrak McDonald’s

  • Currently enrolled high school senior
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Plans to pursue a degree at an accredited college, university or trade school

D.J. and Rose Nidetz Scholarship

Graduating seniors or college undergraduates who have participated in productions for Northwest Indiana Excellence in Theatre Foundation members

  • Resident of Lake, Porter, or LaPorte Counties
  • Must be majoring in one of the following fields: Visual and Performing Arts, Dance, Theatrical Design, Dramatic Arts, Fine Arts, Music, or Theatre Arts

Dr. John Maniotes Scholarship

Graduating seniors whose parent or grandparent is a current employee of Lake County government in Crown Point or related sites

  • Based on academic performance, character, an essay, and extracurricular activities
  • Must submit two recommendation forms

Herbert R. Kocher Memorial Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Lake County, Indiana who are nominated for but do not receive the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

  • Based on academic achievement, leadership, service to others, financial need, and a written narrative
  • Must complete an interview with the Lilly Scholarship selection committee

John V. and George Primich Family Scholarship

Graduating seniors or undergraduate students who are children or grandchildren of current employees of G.W. Berkheimer 火红彩票注册 or South Central

  • Based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, service to others, community, religious, and civic activities, work experience, financial need, a written essay, and other financial aid sources

Legacy Foundation Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Lake County, Indiana who are nominated for but do not receive the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

  • Based on academic achievement, leadership, service to others, financial need, and a written narrative
  • Must complete an interview with the Lilly Scholarship selection committee

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Graduating seniors of Lake County, Indiana who have completed a College Costs Estimator and submitted an application to the high school’s guidance department by the due date.

  • Based on academic achievement, leadership, service to others, financial need, and a written narrative
  • Must be nominated by their high school
  • Must complete an interview with the Lilly Scholarship selection committee

Patrick Lindsey Memorial Scholarship

Graduating minority seniors from Lake County, Indiana High Schools who plan to study visual arts, theater, music, or dance.

  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Based on academic performance, high school and community activities, an essay and arts experience

Roger Begnoche Scholarship

Male residents of Indiana who have earned a high school diploma or GED and plan to pursue a degree in nursing or education; first consideration will be given to members of Boys and Girls Clubs.

  • Based on academic performance, school activities, community and volunteer involvement, financial need, work experience
  • Must submit a letter of recommendation and an original essay
  • Preference will be given to students enrolled at Purdue University Calumet, Indiana University Northwest, Calumet College of St. Joseph, Ivy Tech, or University of St. Francis

Bi-Centennial Memorial Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Hammond high schools; the school will be determined on a rotating basis.

  • In the upper one-third of the class
  • Based on academic and extracurricular achievement, financial need, student goals, an essay and recommendation letter

Hammond Common Council Scholarship

Awarded to graduating seniors from Hammond high schools.

  • Applicants must resides in Hammond, Indiana, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, and plan to attend a college or university as a full time student

IBEW Local Union #697 Memorial Scholarship

Available to children of current members of the local #697 union.

  • Applicants must be unmarried, dependent children age 25 or under who are living at 火红彩票注册 with IBEW member

Joseph Trent Morrow / Urban League of NW Indiana Scholarship

Graduating seniors who live in Gary, Hammond, or East Chicago, Indiana

  • Must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher
  • Will attend either Indiana University Bloomington or Indiana University Northwest and pursue a career in law or banking

Lake County Athletic Officials Association Scholarship

Children of members of the Lake County Athletic Officials Association

  • Must provide an official transcript and SAT/ACT scores
  • Completion of an original essay
  • Three letters of recommendation
Schrage Family Scholarship Graduating seniors in communities served by Centier Bank
  • Must be in the top 20% of class
  • Demonstrated leadership roles in school and community activities
